Basket of Flowers

Hi everyone! Jackie W here today showing you an altered canvas I made for my daughter's birthday using Crafty Sentiments Designs sweet New Release Basket of Flowers!
Here is the finished canvas and below I have a tutorial for you!

I started by applying Gesso to the canvas to prime it. Then I placed some texture items down using Mod Podge. I also used a Gel Medium with my stencils to add more depth.

And finishing off with some wood and metal pieces. 

When the adhesive was completely dry, I applied Gesso over the entire canvas.

Then I sprayed my Dylusion ink sprays over the Gesso and adhered my picture.

I lightly applied Gesso to the edges of all the texture items to have them pop out a little. I dripped a little water onto the ink to make the splotches. I really liked how it looked! To finish off, I added some more flowers to the canvas that I didn't want covered in Gesso.
