Coloring on Velum with Tobey Let's Pray

Hi all,

Deborah here to share with you how to color on velum paper and decorate a candle holder using small flameless candles.

For this project I used Tobey - Let's Pray. So below is the finished candle holder, the nice thing about using a flameless candle is that it can be used as a night light.

Here is the finished candle - All instructions are written on the pictures for you.

We begin with using an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of velum.
Stamp your image on the sheet. And turn over to start coloring.
(excuse my craft sheet is a little dirty)

Well I hope you were inspired by my Let's Pray Candle Holder.
I do stress to use a flameless candle so the paper does not catch on fire.
Plus, I like the flameless cause you can use this as a night light in a
child's room.

Thank you for joining me today. I invite you to also join in the Crafty Sentiments "Lots of Flowers Challenge".  Check out what the DT created for the challenge some beautiful cards. :D

Wishing you a great day and happy crafting.

Hey You

Good Day Everyone,

Deborah here to bring some wonderful inspiration about how to enhance your images with Flock. I know some of you may know this already and may have your own way of flocking images, but those that are new to stamping or learning about the different supplies used for enhancing images I hope you can find this tutorial helpful.

The stamp I used for this is from the Crafty Sentiments Designs Store - Hey You. This image is a nice image to learn on because it has an open space.

Here is a picture of the supplies you need, now of course if you have another heavy duty glue that you use that is fine, too. I just like this glue and find it a very good sticky glue for every project.
**Art Glitter Glue**; flock color;
small paint brush for brushing away excess

Well here is the beginning - grab a cup of your favorite drink and sit back to enjoy. :D
I colored my image first before flocking -

First apply your glue to the in the middle working
the glue towards the edges so in case to much glue
comes out you can work towards the edges.

Add the Flock to the glue

Then pat down softly with your finger into the glue, then
softly do circular motions. Use your paint brush to brush
away excess flock from the image.

Apply glue to one half of the body

Apply Flock to the glue and ............

pat down the flock softly into the glue.
Again do a circular motion

Brush away excess flock from image

Apply glue & flock to other side

This is a picture of me softly doing circular motion to the entire image.
The circular motion allows the flock to stick down to the glue but also
help get the loose flock off the image

All Finished :D
