Die Cutting Tutorial by Sue

Hi Crafters

Back again with another tutorial to promote CD Roms in Crafty Sentiments Shop.
I am using the pre coloured image, papers from the CD

I have a tutorial to show how I Die Cut with a Cuttlebug machine.

So many different die cutting machines on the market.

Each have different plate sandwich which you use in the machine.

Please follow the manufacturers instructions if you are not sure.

Step One

Materials - Die Cutting Machine

Plates A B C (Cuttlebug plates)

A base plate

B plate

C cutting plate

Using a oval  Die

Washi Tape

Step Two

Place the cutting die onto the area where you wish to cut

with the rim face down, keep in place with washi tape

Step Three

Place the card with attached die up side down onto to the B plate

Step Four

Lay the C plate on top of the B plate and feed into the machine

If using complex die may need put through the machine a few times

The die I have used just needs once to twice through to cut
You can sometimes hear a crunch sound this is normal.

Step Five

Remove the washi tape and separate from the card your shape

Once cut you have the image in the shape of the die 

you have used as below

Final Card using the Die Cut

Papers from the CD Rom 

with pearls and sentiment to complete
