Christmas Nugget Box

A Christmas Nugget box by Laura

Here are the Instructions to create a 2x9 Nugget Box (Holds 18 total Nuggets)

For the Base of the Box:

You need one sheet of 12 x 12 paper and cut it down to 11 1/4" x 5"

With the 5" side at the top of your scoring board - Score at 3 7/8" and also at 4 1/2"
Turn Your paper all the way around so that the other 5" side is on the top and score again. (This way you get both ends scored)

With the 11 1/4" Side at the top of your scoring board - Score at 10 1/8" and 10 3/4"
Turn Your paper all the way around so that the other 11 1/4" side is on the top and score again. (This way you get both ends scored)

Use scissors to remove the 3 small boxes that make an "L" shape at EACH corner (first two boxes of the outside row and one from second row)

On the long side cut the flap along the score line to the 3 7/8" score line to create your tabs.

Burnish each score line and fold to assemble the box. The outside flaps will fold over to the inside of the box. Use a stong adhesive like sticky strip and glue down.

For The Cover -

Take a sheet of Designer Paper and cut to - 7 3/8" x 9 1/16"

Place the paper with the the 7 3/8" side along the top and score at 7"

Turn the paper all the way around so the other 7 3/8" side is up along the top and score at 3 1/4", 3 15/16" and 6 3/4"

Burnish each of the score lines. Place Sticky Strip along the small edge where you scored at 7" and fold around to make a slip cover.

Decorate the cover as you want.

To wrap the Hershey Nuggets - Cut strips of Designer Paper into 1" by 3 3/4" and wrap each one. Secure bottoms with glue dots or another adhesive.

There is a Post on Splitcoaststampers from a lady that figured out measurements to create about any size nugget box you could want!

The Tutorial that I followed for mine is in post #138.
